This bold, striking red with an undertone of brown is inspired by the old brickwork buildings that some NOMOS employees pass by on the way to work. Fortunately, however, there are still many buildings in eastern Germany whose facades have been left untouched by renovations and weatherproof plastering; facades that are not yet equipped with the latest range of improvements available from DIY stores. This brick red is genuine, intensely rich, and inviting. The warming color is slightly interrupted by the sky blue of the sub-seconds dial of this watch, as if  you were looking at the sky through a hole in the wall: this blue gives Tangente Datum Ziegelblau—and the wrist that wears it— a special energy
