Tell us your ideas
There are so many different design elements to an engagement ring. Gives us a call and we’ll talk through your ideas, review your designs and provide more information on the process and cost involved. If your ideas are complex we can produce digital 3D design file which will be used for modelling.
The Crafting Process
For a completely bespoke engagement ring, the process typically works as follows:
When you have finalised your design we then create the wax model of the item from a 3D rendering or by hand. It is then created in metal through the casting process before stone set and polished for you.
Once returned, the ring is set by hand with your chosen gemstone/gemstones by one of our expert jewellers in the setting corresponding to your design.
When the ring is assembled it is then sent away to an assay office to be hallmarked which certificates the ring’s fineness, year of production and identifies the company that produced the ring with a stamp or laser engraving on the inside of the band. Find out more about hallmarking in our guide to hallmarks.
To complete the process, the ring is then engraved (if requested) and then polished by hand once more, packaged in one of our presentation boxes and either delivered to your door or available for collection in our glasgow showroom.
If diamonds aren't your style, we also hand pick our coloured gemstones for those who love a pop of colour or something more unique! We can also source coloured gemstones to match with existing jewellery items.
