Description
This model is limited to 600 pieces worldwide.
In the 1960s, King Seiko timepieces contributed to Seiko Watch Corporation’s developments in world-leading technical precision. ‘King Seiko’ originated when multiple Seiko teams of experts created different watches to encourage innovation – one of the Japanese watch brand’s constant aims. This King Seiko takes its roots of inspiration from the Japanese chrysanthemum flower – or ‘Kiku’, popular during the Edo period. A popular glassware of the period known as ‘Edo Kiriko’ featured a ‘Kiku tsunagi mon’ pattern, which has been replicated on the dial of this timepiece. This model has a much slimmer case than previous versions, at only 10.7mm depth for increased comfort. It has a sapphire glass edge, for standout aesthetics which gives a sharper reflection. The hour and minute hands have a diamond cut specification which sparkle alongside the three-dimensional indices. It has a 6L35 calibre movement, with accuracy of +15 to -10 seconds/day. Long live the new King Seiko: modernised elite watchmaking, yet its stately, dignified and majestically classic looks remain.
