King Seiko was created in the 1960s – a famous decade for fashion in Japan, as much as the rest of the world and this watch is inspired by the Japanese Sixties clean cut blazer-and-chinos trend. In Tokyo’s Ginza, people met on Miyuki Street in oxford shirts, cropped khaki trousers, and penny loafers – a style influenced by 1950s American preppy ivy-league college outfits.

Under a box-sapphire crystal glass is a light blue dial, with sharp Dauphine-style hands. Three-dimensionally cut batons and a sharp angular case style ensure maximum light reflection. With an interchangeable bracelet design, this compact 36mm piece allows for easier bracelet and strap customisability.
