GERMAN SUBMARINE STEEL MEETS THE DEEP BLUE.

In April 2020, the world was introduced to the Sinn U50, the smaller and lighter sibling to the iconic watch which preceded it, the U1. Having gained a cult following in the watch world, the Sinn U1 became a fan favourite amongst tool watch enthusiasts with its 41mm German Submarine Steel case, but as the trend to smaller watches became more popular, the demand for a smaller U1 grew. Sinn listened, and in 2020 the watch world got what it asked for.

Crafted from the same German Submarine Steel and rated to 500 meters of water resistance, the U50 kept what made the U1 so popular; its clean utilitarian design, along with its over-engineered build quality. The biggest change however, was the reduction of the case size to 41mm and thickness to 11.15mm - a tremendous feat for a 500 meter water resistant watch.

Today, Sinn announced its latest addition to the U50 line-up, the Limited Edition Sinn U50 S BS. Remaining true to the original, the U50 S BS keeps all the same specifications as the U50, with the addition of Sinn's Black Hard Coating TEGIMENT technology on the case and bracelet. The biggest difference however, is the deep blue to black gradient coloured dial which lies enclosed within the sea-water resistant steel and sapphire glass. A fitting addition to the U50 collection, with a dial that gives the wearer a visualisation of just how deep this watch can go (if they dare).
